What to expect
Meet Me at La Encantada is a free weekly walk, run, DocWalk, Stretch and Strength, weekly activities such as yoga, Pilates, TRX, etc. and twice monthly Interval Walking…yes lots of healthy things to do. Just show up in the courtyard across from the Apple Store on any Wednesday evening. Check-in begins at 5:15. Come early and join the Stretch and Strength class…great warm-up!
You can start anytime you like, but we will lead a run at 5:55. Run or walk the 3-mile route, or you can walk the 1.5-mile walking route.
5:20 to 5:50 pm Free “Stretch and Strength”, brought to us by Melanie TschoppFrey, owner of Quality Strength…a functional workout using your own body weight. An excellent way to prepare for your walk/run/DocWalk, etc. Appropriate for all ages.
5:55…Walk or run 3-mile route with leaders. Walk or run at your own pace. The route is easy to follow if you fall behind or race ahead.
5:55 to 6:40 Try the Rock the Ages “DocWalk”…it’s a workout while you walk…with a leader…1.5 miles. Physicians walk with us to answer questions about health and fitness. The DocWalk works most of the major muscle groups while we’re walking and is appropriate for all fitness levels.
5:55 Red Monkey Studios brings various classes weekly…for all fitness levels
5:55 On the second and fourth Wednesdays…take an interval walking class with Marjorie Becklund
6:45 Closing ceremonies… awards for those who have attended 8, 15, 50 and 100 times!! Stay for our free raffle for gift certificates and other prizes.
When you finish you can enjoy discounted dining at one of La Encantada’s great restaurants, plus several others in the neighborhood. Check the “discount” tab to see who is offering discounts. Don’t forget to get your MMLE hand stamp.
